Our Mission
The mission of the Chattanooga Filmmakers Guild is to unite and strengthen the local filmmaking and acting community. We provide educational opportunities to local film creatives and content creators while assisting them in connecting with industry professionals through networking, strengthening their ability to succeed in the filmmaking industry.
Filmmakers Mixer
Each month we host the Filmmakers Mixer for local filmmakers and actors to network and learn skills. Each mixer features an industry professional from a wide assortment of careers in the film industry.

IATSE is the International Alliance of Theatrical Employees, representing over 168,000 technicians, artisans, and craftspersons in the entertainment industry, including live theatre, motion picture and television production, broadcast and trade shows in the United States, its territories, and Canada.
Peter Kurland was raised in Nashville and has been in production sound for 36 years including all Coen Brothers films, booming on ‘Blood Simple’ then mixing ‘O Brother’ through “Ballad of Buster Scruggs”. He also mixed “Walk The Line” and many Barry Sonnenfeld films including “Men in Black” I, II. and III. He has won two Grammys, four Oscar nominations, a BAFTA and three CAS Awards.
